What is free for every member
Amarbis is free to download, free to join and free to use. You do not need a card to sign up, and you can meet people in any country without paying anything.
- Create your profile with your photos and describe yourself in your own words.
- Choose where you want to meet people: any country, region or city, or the whole world at once.
- 25 likes a day.
- Unlimited messaging with every person you match with.
- Voice notes, video clips and photos inside the chat.
- Five chat translations a month, so you can talk past the language barrier.
- A free boost every day: thirty minutes of extra visibility.
- Block, unmatch or report anyone in two taps, and hide or pause your profile whenever you want.
No pay-per-message tricks
Some international dating sites look free until a conversation starts, then charge credits for every message you send or read. Amarbis does not charge per message. Once you match with someone, you can message them as much as you like without paying.
A simple test
If a site asks you to buy credits to read a reply, it is not a free dating site.
What the paid plans add
Paid plans are optional extras on top of everything above. In the United States, Basic costs $4.99 a month, Plus $9.99 and Premium $30.00. Prices vary by country and are lower in many countries.
- More likes every day: 100 a day on Basic, unlimited on Plus and Premium.
- More chat translations every month: 50 on Basic, 150 on Plus and 500 on Premium.
- See who has already liked you.
- Rewinds to undo your last swipe: 5 a week on Basic, 15 on Plus and unlimited on Premium.
- Incognito mode on Plus and Premium.
- Read receipts and the Culture Guide on Premium: short notes about your match's country, starting with Ethiopia and the United States.
Amarbis Basic is free where paying online is hard
In some countries it is blocked or very difficult to pay online, so buying a plan is not a fair option. Members who live in those countries, including Ethiopia, Cuba, Iran, Venezuela, Algeria and Lebanon, get Amarbis Basic free. No card is needed and nothing is ever charged.
How to tell if a 'free' dating app is really free
- Can you reply to messages without paying?
- Are messages charged one by one, or with credits?
- Does the site ask for your card details just to create a profile?
- Are profiles checked by real people before they go live?
On Amarbis the answers are yes, no, no and yes: replying to your matches is free, there are no per-message charges, no card is needed to join, and every profile is reviewed by a real person before it appears.
